The new Villa Sombra from Warped Cigars is here! This is the first regular production cigar from Warped to feature a silky Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper leaf. Don't let that Connecticut wrapper leaf fool you, these are rich, complex cigars. Like most Warped cigars these have an amazing balance of sweet and spicy flavors.
Villa Sombra is made with a blend of Aganorsa Nicaraguan tobaccos: Nicaraguan Jalapa Corojo '99 and Criollo '98. The binder is Nicaraguan Corojo '99.
The Corto from Warped Cigars is billed as their strongest blend to date. While the Corto does push a bit past the medium-to-full bodied mark it's the delightful complexity of the blend that really makes these cigars stand out.
Corto is a Nicaraguan puro blended entirely with Aganorsa tobaccos. Rich almond and allspice flavors at the start, accompanied by a slight hint of chocolate-like sweetness. They transition to a bold leathery profile with a delightful touch of creaminess. The finish definitely pushes into the full bodied range.
The Corto blend itself will continue from year to year, however the size Warped releases will change. In 2016 we have the 4 1/2 x 46 Corto x46 size.
Kyle Gellis and Max Fernandez are back with another amazing collaboration, Guardian of the Farm. In 2015 the pair worked together to blend the highly regarded Futuro, a Nicaraguan puro made with select Aganorsa tobaccos.
Aganorsa again opened their vault of rare, special tobaccos for the Guardian of the Farm blend. The filler is made with Nicaraguan Corojo '99 and Criollo '98 tobaccos. The binder is Nicaraguan Corojo '99 and the wrapper leaf is a Nicaraguan Jalapa Shade Corojo '99.
Two regular production sizes are available, the 6 x 52 Campeon and the 5 1/4 x 50 JJ. There is also a 6 x 44 limited edition size called Apollo.
Our friend Reinier Lorenzo added a great new size to his limited edition La Rosa 520. The La Rosa 520 Reyes is a 6 1/4 x 48 Toro that really brings out the rich flavors and complexity of this special blend. These are made with Nicaraguan Aganorsa tobaccos and have a Nicaraguan Jalapa Corojo '99 wrapper leaf.
The new San Isidro by HVC is made with a blend of Nicaraguan Aganorsa tobaccos, including some AAA classified tobaccos (the highest grade Aganorsa offers). The wrapper leaf is a rich Ecuadorian Habano.
