La Flor Dominicana just announced the creation of a new Candela-wrapped line of cigars. The La Flor Dominicana Double Claro will feature a unique Ecuadorian Claro wrapper. Litto Gomez used a blend of Dominican tobaccos for the filler and finished it with a Nicaraguan binder. Three sizes are available in the line.

 

We have a very small shipment of original La Flor Dominicana Salomon and La Flor Dominicana Salomon Maduro cigars coming in.  The original La Flor Dominicana Salomon was one of the very first cigars to feature Litto's Habano wrapper leaf.  The Salomon Maduro uses the same 2004 and 2005 vintage Dominican tobacco blend as the original Salomon but replaces the Habano wrapper leaf with a dark Ecuadorian Habano Maduro.

 

We just received some information on the new Litto Gomez Small Batch No. 4.  Like previous Small Batch these ones will come in cabinets of 105.  The blend on the Small Batch No. 4 is made from select 2006 vintage Dominican tobaccos.  The dark wrapper leaf is a Dominican Pelo de Oro. 

 

 

La Flor Dominicana just announced they are doing a one time only release on 20-count boxes of La Flor Dominicana Cameroon Cabinet Chisels.  The cigars measure 6 x 54.  It's the outstanding Cameroon Cabinet blend in La Flor Dominicana's iconic Chisel shape.  Boxes are due to arrive the first week of December.  This is a one time only release so make sure you grab some soon.

I'm very excited to announce we are due to receive one Pre-Release cabinet of the new La Flor Dominicana Factory Press IV.  The regular release is set for the first or second week of December.  For now we have single cigars and 12-count trays available.  The blend this year features select Dominican tobaccos from Litto's farm in La Canela.  The binder is Ecuadorian and the wrapper is Mexican. 

The new La Flor Dominicana Colorado Oscuro features an Ecuadorian Ligero Sumatra wrapper, a Dominican Sumatra binder and a blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos for the filler.  Great complexity to these cigars.  For sizes are available, we have single cigars and cabinets of 50 up for Pre-Order now.

The new La Flor Dominicana Diadema Duo gets you two amazing cigars in one package.  The cigars measure 9 1/4 x 50, one has a Nicaraguan Habano Natural wrapper and the other sports a Nicaraguan Habano Ligero Maduro.  You can pick up the pair for $30. 

 

 

This might be the coolest item coming out at the cigar trade show in 2011.  Litto Gomez created a special La Flor Dominicana Air Bender Maduro and then created these amazing Casa de Tabaco humidors to put them in.  The humidor is styled after an authentic Dominican tobacco curing barn.  They come with twenty four La Flor Dominicana Air Bender Maduro cigars measuring 6 1/2 x 54.  These humidors have a pull out try that can hold a lighter and a cutter.  You can use any type of humipack for humidification.  You can pick up the humidor with 24 cigars for $350.

 

 

 

Litto Gomez Diez Vintage Lanceros are here!  These are Vintage 2010's using tobaccos from Litto's farm that were harvested in 2006.  The cigars measure 7 1/2 x 39 and come in boxes of 20.  We have singles available for $11.25 and boxes for $198.

 

A couple sizes of the new 2010 blend of Litto Gomez Diez arrived.  We have the Americano and Cubano size.  These Dominican puros are some of the very best cigars Litto makes.  Also, make sure to get on the Notification list for the new Litto Gomez Diez Vintage Lanceros.  Those should be showing up in the next couple weeks.

Litto has been working on making a Litto Gomez Diez Maduro for a while now. It looks like he was finally able to create (or perfect) a Dominican Maduro to use on these cigars. Litto keeps the same spicy, full bodied filler/binder blend but has added a very special Dominican Maduro wrapper leaf grown on his farm in La Canela.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Litto Gomez now has his Churchill Especial cigars wrapped in both of his very best wrapper leafs.  You may already be familiar with the La Flor Dominicana Churchill Especial Oscuro.  These are the pigtailed cigars that Litto used to first introduce his famed Oscuro Natural wrapper leaf.  He now decided to put his prized Habano wrapper leaf on a Churchill Especial...and I'm glad he did.  These cigars have amazing body and complexity, with flavors that constantly develop while building up to a wonderfully spicy finish.

We're very excited to have another shipment of La Flor Dominicana Salomones arrive.  They're back in stock on our website now.  These were the first cigar to feature the exquisite Habano wrapper leaf Litto has been using on more cigars now.  These come ten to a box with single cigars going for $23 and the box for $230.

This is a very special cigar created by Litto Gomez of La Flor Dominicana.  Litto made these cigars to benefit the Latin art museum, El Museo del Barrio, in Harlem, New York.  Litto and Inez Gomez worked with Ruben and Isobel Toledo on this project.  Isobel Toledo is a fashion designer and Ruben is an artist; both are Cuban-American.  Only 2,000 boxes were made.  Ruben Toledo designed the artwork for the boxes and the bands on the cigars.  Each box is numbered with a certificate of authenticity signed by Ruben Toledo.  El Museo is in stock now.  We were only able to get our hands on a couple boxes so they will not last long.

 

 

 

 

Here is a treat for all the La Flor Dominicana fans out there.  Three new cigars coming from La Flor Dominicana.  These are not regular production cigars, they're not even really limited edition cigars. I put them up on our "Cigars" page as "La Flor Dominicana Experimental Cigars". Here are the details:

Coronado Maduro



Dr. Litto "Frankenstein" Gomez was doing a little experimenting and decided to put a Maduro wrapper on one of his Coronado Corona Especials. He was so intrigued by the new cigar that he decided to have a few made up. When I say "few" I mean only enough cigars were rolled to pack up 83 boxes, and that is it. These have the same filler/binder blend as the original Coronado. The size is the 5 7/8 x 47 Corona Especial. Single cigars are $10.00 and the box of 24 goes for $240.

Litto Gomez Small Batch No. 1 Special Release

 

I wanted to call these Small Batch No. 1 Redux but Billy said redux has been used way too many time already. So these are Small Batch No. 1 Special Release cigars. A release of original Litto Gomez Small Batch No. 1 would normally be special enough. These Small Batch No. 1 cigars are made even more special because Litto replaced the original Sumatra-seed wrapper with the same wrapper leaf he used on his La Flor Dominicana Salomon cigars. The cigars were originally rolled in 2006; Litto was not happy with the wrapper leaf on them so he set them aside. After he finished his production of Salomon cigars he was left with some extra wrapper leaf. These are the cigars I am most excited to try. They're going to come in boxes of 20. Singles will go for $13.75 and the box for $275.



La Flor Dominicana Corona Habano

 

After making his Salomons and then re-wrapping the original Small Batch No. 1 Litto still had a fair amount of Salomon wrapper leaf left. What he did was blend up some Dominican tobaccos from his farm in La Canela and made some 5 3/4 x 46 Corona cigars with his Salomon wrapper. Litto couldn't make enough to have a regular production or limited edition cigar, however he was able to put together 700 boxes of 20.

 

 

These cigars were made in very small quantities.  Once they are gone they're gone for good.  Definitely grab some of these rare cigars before they are all gone.

We have the brand new La Flor Dominicana DL-452 Maduro in the shop.  Singels are going for $4.90 and a box of 20 for $88.

 

It looks like La Flor Dominicana will have a new 7 x 64 Salomon available this year.  There is no blend information available for these but I do know they're calling it the La Flor Dominicana Ligero Salomones.  These are going to come in boxes of 10 with only 300 boxes being produced.  Singles will be going for $23 and the box for $230.  The new La Flor Dominicana Ligero Salomones should be available in early December.  We have them available for Pre-Order right now.

 

 

 

This years new La Flor Dominicana Factory Press is here.  The La Flor Dominicana Factory Press III measures 6 1/4 x 54 and features a Connectucut-Broadleaf Maduro wrapper.  The binder is Nicaraguan, giving the new Factory Press III spice and complexity.  The filler blend is all Dominican tobacco grown on Litto's farm in La Canela.

 

La Flor Dominicana just released a new size in their Cameroon Cabinet line.  The new La Flor Dominicana Cameroon Cabinet Torpedo measures 6 x 54 with singles going for $9.75 and a cabinet of 50 for $427.50.  We have boxes and singles available now.

This sampler contains five perfecto shaped cigars, three in La Flor Dominicana's most popular blends.  One is a Ligero Cabinet Oscuro Natural blend, one is a Double Ligero blend, one is a Coronado blend, and the other two are a blend Litto will not share with us. 

 

 

A new 4 x 38 size in the La Flor Dominicana Ligero Cabinet Oscuro Natural line.  The cigars come in beautiful wood, flip-top boxes of six cigars.  These should make their debut after the Tobacco Trade Show in July. 

 

NEWS FROM LA FLOR DOMINICANA

La Flor Dominicana announced the addition of the DL-654 to their full bodied line of Double Ligero cigars.  The DL-654 measures, of course, 6 x 54.  Singles are $7.35 and a box of 20 goes for $135.   We now have full boxes and single cigars of the new La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero DL-654 in stock.

 

La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero Chisel Maduro

 

The Big Brother to the La Flor Dominicana El Jocko #1 Maduro, the La Flor Dominicana Billy Club is made exclusively for Jack Schwartz Importer.  We are happy to announce we have just received a new shipment of our popular Billy Club cigars.  The Billy Club gives you a smooth, medium bodied smoke.  Singles go for $6.75 and a box of 25 is $152.

 

 

Litto Gomez of La Flor Dominicana just announced a special Limited Release cigar due out in mid-November.  The La Flor Dominicana 2007 Limited Release Factory Press II is the same size as the original Factory Press II (6 1/4 x 54), however the blend has been changed.  This Limited Release Factory Press II will have Dominican filler from Litto's farm in La Canela, the binder will be Nicaraguan instead of the Sumatra on the original Factory Press II.  The wrapper is a beautiful Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro as opposed to the Nicaraguan Oscuro Litto uses on the original Factory Press II. 

The La Flor Dominicana 2007 Limited Release Factory Press II comes boxed in a factory press of 12 cigars.  Litto only made 1500 boxes of these Limited Release cigars.  They are due to start shipping in mid-November.

 

 

 

We have small amounts of La Flor Dominicana Culebra cigars trickling in.  We now have a few La Flor Dominicana Culebra Especial Maduros in the shop right now.  There are three versions of Culebra cigars from La Flor Dominicana. 

 

The La Flor Dominicana Culebra Especial Maduro has two Natural versions and one Maduro version.  These are what we have in the shop right now.

 

The La Flor Dominicana Culebra Especial Natural has all three in a Natural version.  These should be coming in some time in late October.

 

Finally, the La Flor Dominicana Culebra Gorda is a slightly larger version with a Cameroon wrapper.  It looks like the Culebra Gorda should be here around early November. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The new Litto Gomez Small Batch No. 2 is due out some time in September. The filler and binder are all Dominican grown on La Flor's farm. The wrapper is Sumatra Seed grown in the Dominican Republic. Litto personally goes over the selection process and picks only the best-of-the-best tobaccos for his Small Batch cigars. The new version's production is at 30,000 cigars coming in cabinets of 105. That means about 285 boxes available world wide.

 

When Litto Gomez of La Flor Dominicana told us he was going to make a second edition of the Limitado we asked him if he could set aside some so we could have a few extras after they were all gone.  Well Litto took it a step further and set aside the finest cigars from each days batch.  By the end of the rolling for the Limitado II Litto had set aside 1,000 cigars.  These cigars sat in his humidor in the Dominican Republic for over a year.  When the last boxes of original Limitado II's were shipped Litto asked what we wanted to do with the cigars he had set aside.  There were no Limitado II boxes or bands left so we asked Litto to make up a special box of 20 original release Limitado II's.   Litto personally packed and autographed the boxes.  The result is an autographed box of 20 original production La Flor Dominicana Limitado II with over a year of age on them.  We have 25 boxes of these and are offering both singles and boxes.
